The artist’s emotion of sorrow and memories of his nephew, who had helped Kinutani overcome the unbearable solitude while living away from his parents, flashes back. Green is the color of Nara. It is the color of nature that accepts all human weakness and misery, and allows us to have hopes and dreams for the future. The prayer for peace transcends time.
